The IGP Bans FSARS
The inspector-General of police in Nigeria, known by the name, Mohammed Adamu has reportedly and officially banned the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS)
Following the terror acts the force group has been portraying on the Nigerian youths, the IGP has made a new order and announcement.
According to the reporter, Frank Mbah, who is the public relation Officer; announced the shocking news saying
“banned the personnel of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) and other Tactical Squads of the Force including the Special Tactical Squad (STS), Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Anti-Cultism Squad and other Tactical Squads operating at the Federal, Zonal and Command levels, from carrying out routine patrols and other conventional low-risk duties – stop and search duties, checkpoints, mounting of roadblocks, traffic checks, etc – with immediate effect.”
According to their utterances, FSARS are banned from the following activities; stop and search duties, Checkpoints, mounting of roadblocks, traffic checks.
This looks very thrilling to the Nigerian citizens as they have so far protested countless times to end FSARS.
